Taking action, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak, who was on a tour of Sitamarhi and Shivhar districts, has imposed a fine of Rs 11 lakh on two NGOs of MDM. Also, a penalty of Rs 1 lakh has been imposed on the computer company of Patna installed in Kamrauli Middle School of Shivhar district. Apart from this, the salary of the headmaster of middle school Dhankaul has been stopped.
Three teachers including the headmaster were suspended
Chief Secretary KK Pathak inspected various schools after inspection at the district headquarters. During this time, Shri Pathak reached the middle school by conducting a surprise inspection at Berwa Middle School. In that school, three teachers including the headmaster were absent without any information. Because of this, three teachers including the headmaster of that school were suspended. KK Pathak imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on two NGOs when the MDM’s food for the children served by the same NGO arrived late.
Principal’s salary withheld
KK Pathak also inspected Sitamarhi Oriental School. After this he left for Shivhar. On the way, inspected Dhankaul Middle School. There also the headmaster was missing from the school without any information. KK Pathak stopped the headmaster’s salary payment as he was found missing during investigation.
One lakh rupee fine imposed on computer company
KK Pathak reached Kamroli Middle School where a penalty of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on the said company for non-operation of the computer. It was told that when KK Pathak asked the children whether computers are taught, the children unanimously said that there is no computer class. The children said that the mouse has also been unwell for a long time. After inspecting dozens of schools, K Pathak has returned to Patna. K Pathak reached Sitamarhi late on Thursday evening, where he inspected the DIET building till night.
